After completing a Bachelor of Education at Australian Catholic University, Paddy spent six years teaching Primary aged children in the South East suburbs of Melbourne, as well as inner city schools in London in the UK. He then shifted focus to Secondary Education, working at Mazenod College (Mulgrave) and St Kevin’s College (Toorak & East Richmond). After developing an interest in further study, Paddy completed a Masters in Business (Sport Management) at Deakin University.
Paddy joined the Associated Catholic Colleges (ACC) as Executive Officer in 2005 and spent the following 19 years enhancing the delivery of the Association’s program of events. This included significant work in the fields of Sport, Music, The Arts and Leadership across a wide range of stakeholders. In this role, he also developed significant skills in event management, business management, financial management, communication, promotions and marketing, website development and maintenance, software utilisation, stakeholder engagement, employment practices, strategic planning, policy development and risk management.
During his tenure as Executive Officer, Paddy engaged regularly with key stakeholders from various state sporting organisations, major venues, Executive Officers from other associations in Victoria and interstate, as well as playing a leading role with Principals, Deputy Principals and key learning area leaders from the member schools of the ACC.
Since the launch of his new consulting business in early 2024, Paddy has worked extensively with clients in both national and international settings across a wide range of projects. Paddy has been widely acclaimed for his diligence, professionalism and in-depth knowledge of education, sport and event management.
In 2025, Paddy launched a significant new initiative within his business portfolio: School Sport Professionals. This innovative venture establishes a national network for professionals engaged in the leadership, coordination and delivery of school sport across Australia.
School Sport Professionals has been purposefully designed to address a longstanding gap in professional learning and support for practitioners working at the school association level. The network provides structured and relevant professional development opportunities, facilitates meaningful connection and collaboration among peers, and enables the sharing of high-quality resources and best practice.
Through School Sport Professionals, members are supported to strengthen their professional capability, elevate the standard of school sport delivery, and contribute collectively to the ongoing development of the sector at a local, state and national level.
